Spent about three weeks in the hiring process. Had interviews with multiple people beginning with a recruiter. The last interview I had was with the President of the
company. I was told that I checked all of his boxes and that an offer would most likely be coming my way. Later that evening an offer did come along with an invite for a background investigation. The offer was very low for this type of position ($68k), there was also no information in the offer about how commission would break out or vacation/pto policy. My crew to base salary which they knew was $120k and OTE of over $180k. Obviously I declined the offer and never heard from anyone at the company after that. In my opinion it was a bit unprofessional to waste my time with such a low offer as well as not even reply to my email. Luckily I accepted a similar position with a competitor company which is paying me more than what I was making before. Needless to say I will use that as motivation to sell even harder with my new company!
