JOOLA is for looking for an experienced Graphic Designer with a passion for growth and interest in pickleball and table tennis!

JOOLA was first established in 1952 and built a global reputation as a pioneer in table tennis. In 2022, JOOLA expanded into the rapidly growing pickleball scene and quickly attracted the biggest names in the sport. As an official table tennis sponsor for three Summer Olympic Games and the official sponsor of pickleball's top athletes and the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA), the team at JOOLA combines its storied expertise with fresh perspectives to bring innovation to both sports. JOOLA creates a variety of equipment, apparel, and accessories for both table tennis and pickleball players, professional and recreational. The Graphic Designer will work collaboratively with the Creative team and Marketing Team. An ideal candidate should be able to balance multiple priorities simultaneously, establish and meet timelines, and work effectively in a team environment. In addition, the Graphic Designer will continuously enhance their design skills and knowledge of design, brand standards and digital techniques.

JOOLA is based in Rockville, MD and is owned by Sport Squad, Inc.

Responsibilities:

Develop concepts, designs and innovative ideas for digital, print, and product design deliverables
Work closely with the Creative Manager other Graphic Designers in the team to creatively design product based marketing materials including but not limited to product photos, product packaging, instruction manuals, etc.
Create sales images for website and distributor use
Make promotional content for products to be used for digital marketing
Assist in the design and presentation of brochures, booklets, flyers, ads, banners and display for events, tournaments, website, clubs
Develop and advocate best practices and remain current with design and technological advancements within the creative community

Requirements:

2-3 years experience in Adobe Suite, especially Photoshop and InDesign
Ability to develop large-scale graphics as print-ready files preferred
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit; talk, hear and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard.
Knowledge of design styles, typography and layout techniques
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs as well as Mac OS software
Portfolio required; portfolio should display experience with variety of media and knowledge of design principles: layout, color theory, typography, etc.
