Was sagen die Mitarbeiter?
Ich habe für mehr als 3 Jahre bei QIAGEN gearbeitet - Vollzeit
- great colleagues - some of the smartest people (albeit once they realize how low-balled they were, they usually leave in no time) - flexible working hours, home office, some nice perks
- career (promoting from within) is a matter of politics; meritocracy is non-existent - senior management is either hired from the outside or stems from internal "old (and white) boys club" - no... formal training opportunities - it is impossible to promote the best people, as annual promotion budget is a joke - huge turnover and talent attrittion rate - annual to bi-annual restructuring and layoffs (or quiet layoffs through financial incentives for people to leave "voluntarily"); typical customer of management consulting firms, with typical advice received for a steap fee - no long term strategy; primary focus on quaterly numbers - no internal innovation; new ideas come through acquisitions - salary below industry standards - lack of continuity, people get disgruntled over relatively short time - overblown management; more managers than individual contributors (they are the only ones who seem to survive the re-structuring cycles)
Rat an das Management
- devise a long term strategy - focus - value your people and show it - innovate from within - trust your people
