    Their stack of technologies fell behind by ages. Trust me, unless you hate your career, don't believe in their propaganda to hire. You'll be using the oldest possible version of the languages, application servers, frameworks and so on.

    They've asked to upvote their status here on Glassdoor - which is unfair since the people are not sharing the reality.

    The CEO is the example of how to not do the things: usually, he publicly humiliates some employees, calling them from mediocre in front of > 1500 people.

    If you have > 10 years of experience in the market, you aren't a Senior Software Engineer for EDreams - the Senior is a title granted just to people who are more than 5 years doing jerry-rigs / kludges inside the company - you're just an outlander arriving to bring them problems.

    Why using a standard library (to save time, avoid reinventing the wheel and use a bullet-proof solution)? No, let's create our home-made frameworks to everything from a Scheduler / Messaging system to date format conversion.

    If you are a newcomer, don't dare to bring innovation: you don't have this right! By the way, it's feasible that some people will make fun of you behind your back (even if your suggestion adds value to the company).

    During the official events, you'll hear things like: "Try to persuade a group of X people about your idea/technology adoption suggestion, then you bring these ideas to us, to be discussed" - forget too: If you do, you will listen to that: "we won't adopt this. It is vetoed because the chief architect doesn't like - with no further explanation".

    People are used to sneakingly sabotage someone else plans. For example, an important guy (CTO, to be specific) is trying to implement an agile culture and change the way that the teams are distributed - their independence, etc. Behind his back, or even in front of him (as the poor guy is a foreigner), some team-leaders / architects are mocking the proposition all the time and clearly preventing it to occur (as they'd be useless if the plan was fully implemented).

    Rat an das Management

    Stop lying to the candidates saying that there is innovation there because there isn't.

    Lay off part of those old "buddies" that aren't doing anything apart from being an impediment to everyone - they are just an impressive job title, nothing more.

    Open your eyes to the internal sabotage - it really doesn't change anything in my life anymore, but I still have friends there that are motivated to change the game.

    Pros

    * Company is going through a transformation and the way it used to work is changing rapidly (for a better). In the last half year alone we got flexible working hours, a career path, training programs, ...
    * Lots of really cool people.
    * One of the few places in Barcelona which is offering great opportunities, good technology as well as fun at work.
    * Agile is taking over the company.

    Kontras

    * As the company is changing, some people change with it and others don't.
     * Some of the complex tech stack needs replacement.
    * Lot's of change change change. You must like that.

    Rat an das Management

    Keep on investing in people! There are many good steps in the right direction. Consider remote work (at least for some days)

    A culture of fear.
    Company has no values and is corrupt, there is a lot of information hoarding, and middle management push for long hours, and really don't care about employees, or customers, a lot of scams, and middle management will often create situations to hide their inadequacy.

    There is a reason why there is turf building and information hiding, as it promotes job security.

    Certain departments and people do not collaborate but will appear to collaborate, a lot of firefighting in different departments.

    Rewards are to those that want to look good, and not to the invisible.

    Not a flat structure, or a healthy constructive environment.
    If you have an opinion best not to share it with management.

    DO NOT join this company, there a many other companies to join.
    They will not take care of you, at all.

    Best not to look else where for fun, innovative, productive work environments.

    It is in a red zone, there is a reason why there is a high turn over, and good people leave in droves.
