Ich arbeite in Vollzeit bei U.S. Cellular (Über 3 Jahre)

    Pros

US Cellular has a rewarding culture. Leads with values and not fear.

    Kontras

Technology used within company is behind industry standards. There is constant fight with inadequate resources and equipment.

    Rat an das Management

Focus on results and not on arbitrary corporate standards.

Ich arbeite in Vollzeit bei U.S. Cellular (Über 3 Jahre)

    Pros

Continual change in new and iconic devices, accessories, promotions, business approach - each week and/or month can be unique. Low manual labor - mainly helping teach and give feedback to others growth and development.

    Kontras

Retail hours can be difficult to work around family/kid events. At times, quotas don’t seem balanced across the stores. The company tends to be a jack of all trades but a master of none which can be distracting to the overall goal of driving business results and serving customers.

    Rat an das Management

Consider different hours for different areas/stores. Not all stores share the same traffic and customer needs. Consider focusing the retail channel specifically on 3 items to deliver results rather than multiple strategies and approaches.

Ich habe in Vollzeit bei U.S. Cellular gearbeitet (Über 5 Jahre)

    Pros

Friendly, encouraging environment. Employees tend to stay a long time.

    Kontras

-Consensus driven action slows the business
-Management allows "bad apples"/toxic employees to stay too long before taking action.

Ich habe in Vollzeit bei U.S. Cellular gearbeitet (Über 8 Jahre)

    Pros

I worked for USCC for 10 years and watched the company grow with market changes. Leaders were engaged in the process the entire time, and while mistakes and misteps happened, the company always sought to right itself with its employees rather than on the backs of its employees. The company believes strongly in building leadership from the front lines. They are always aware of the work-life balance issue and try to remain level headed about it. They adapt well to the changing economic times. Overall, they are committed to both the employee and the customer.

    Kontras

depending on the market you are in, advancement to upper level positions is slow. If you want to move faster up in the company, be prepared to need to relocate. While the company touts accountability, it at times needs to hold leaders more accountable to results. The stores in New England were often plagued by staffing issues that the talent acquisition department failed to resolve in a timely manner

    Rat an das Management

focus on simple plans, don't try to be a genius. be aggressive in goal setting but have a moderate "b" plan for what determines success

Ich habe in Vollzeit bei U.S. Cellular gearbeitet (mehr als ein Jahr)

    Pros

Some of your customers are regulars and will never Treat you bad
If you have a good team of managers the environment is fantastic
    Money is great

    Kontras

When your mangement team is sexist and feel threatened by you they will tear you down every second
You never have a perfect interaction they will make sure you always know what you did wrong and focus on that vs focusing on what you did well
If you are good at your job they will make you feel like you can be promoted but if you don't fit their exact standards they will make sure you know you're not close
Don't have any kind of family emergencies they will expect you you work through them and not be mentally affected by any kind of death
They constantly change policies and it all depends on who you are if you have to follow the policies
If you don't break a policy for a customer and the customer gets upset you get scolded
The dress code isn't something US Cellular stands by if a customer complains or a coworker complains you will be asked to never wear said outfit again, including but not limited branded shirt purchased by the company
Forget being a woman. Management will stick to their rules to you about absences, tardiness, extended lunches. If you're a male you will have favortism and never be in trouble or written up. Unless management wants to use you to make an example.
I honestly could go on and on and on, but I won't.

    Rat an das Management

Stop treating men like they're better
    Jump to industry changes
Allow employees to adapt to changes before scolding them
Discourage favortism and stop treating people like they are better
Discourage racism, sexism, and harassment from customers and coworkers.
And last but not least stop letting employees create a hostile environment if you want employees to stay. This includes but is not limited to managers, customers, and other RWCs

Ich habe in Vollzeit bei U.S. Cellular gearbeitet (Über 10 Jahre)

    Pros

excellent pay- great co-workers- good benefits

    Kontras

unnecessary stress sometimes and certain areas need better coverage in local area

    Rat an das Management

build out the network and they will come

  10. „Customer Service Representative: Inbound Call Center”

    • Kultur & Werte

Ich habe in Vollzeit bei U.S. Cellular gearbeitet

    Pros

Agents were encouraged to provide the best service experience possible with minimal rules to follow. Procedure was not strict like many other inbound call centers and could usually be broken at the agent's discretion.

Management genuinely worked hard to make sure the employees were properly valued and taken care of first. The philosophy was that happy employees provide the best customer service.

    Kontras

Customer management database was stored at a remote location with an unreasonable latency in response time, average of 5-7 seconds after searching for a single customer.

Systems generally outdated and not cohesive at all.

Dealing with the average American consumer 40 hours per week under florescent lighting should be considered cruel and unusual punishment.

    Rat an das Management

Dedicating more resources towards developing supporting IT infrastructure for customer service operations would yield a significant positive ROI.

The call center environment and agent's role were unique for a company this size in the best way. The work culture was superb. If I could have done anything other than be on the phone, I would find it hard to leave the call center.

    Pros

Lots of places in the company to learn, but it's very political so you need to know somebody to move up

    Kontras

Extremely political, and sometimes hostile climate depending on which area you work in
