    - Awesome colleagues
    - Great company events and holidays
    - Nice office with fully stocked kitchen and game room

    Kontras

    - Highly unqualified management
    - Questionable morals: Inter-work relationships that are negatively affecting the work environment, gender equality mindset from 1850, promotion based on friendship instead on professional qualification, weird manipulation tactics promoted from top down
    - No appreciation of individual employees: Exceptional work is not reimbursed by salary increases, firing based on flimsy arguments, results in unmotivated and toxic work culture
    - Career Opportunities = 0: No career plan, no professional development program, individual advanced training requests are rarely granted, no promotional policy
    - From over 130 to under 80 employees in 1 year. Mostly due to people quitting.

    Start listening to your employees, your users, and your clients. Take actions. Raise salaries to the appropriate market average of an international company. Put in place career development programs that are open to all genders and departments, a transparent promotional policy and an employee retention program.

    Agressive management, false transparency, favoritism. Mobbing practices and lawsuits from former workers are very common.

    Traing your managers, some of them don't have any people skills. Some managers carry out actions that no HR in the world or even authorities would approve. They look like they are actively trying to make people leave the company. The CEO gives power to people he likes, no matter what skills they have.

    Flexible schedule (which it's not completely true)

    I was hired with very far expectations of what my job was going to be there.
    The rrhh team didn't explain me correctly what my responsabilities were, neither how was the team's structure in reality. When I arrived I was surprised of my assigments. I would have never accept the job knowing what I was going to do there in first place. Also, I had a manager over a manager over another manager and we were a team of 3.
    I've never felt so undervalued. This was an awful experience.

    Managing a company is not a game were you play with whoever you like more.
    Create a great atmosphere, and work to have good results.
    Do not buy the people showing them the music room and the ball pool.

    Pros

    True Big Data company, managing enormous amount o data and technical complexity. This brings huge opportunities.

    It isn't a big team and we are all in the same office, which is great to get to know (at least on the surface) everything that is going on and everyone working on it.

    Very nice culture traits such as an attitude of camaraderie and helpfulness, the openness to new ideas and projects, the ambition or the willing to pivot and change to try new things.

    Difficult to navigate at first, as the organization is more centered on people than on structure. So you need time to understand who is who and how things are done/maintained.

    Good ambience and great location. There are some great professionals. Because of the size of the company, you could have a real impact on the market.

    Lately the work policy has changed in order to move from a startup to a regular company. Depending on your profile could be hard to pivot to different areas.

    Pros

    Dynamic work environment.
    Very technical and data oriented.
    There are very good professionals in tech from whom you can learn a lot from.
    Good perks and benefits and nice office space.

    Kontras

    Bad upper management, unexperienced and lacking empathy.
    The company culture has fallen down. It passed from being a fun company, having flexible hours and trust on the employees, to all the opposite.
    There is no career projection and no place for women management. Most women managers have been slowly downgraded or fired as well as many other valid people.
    The people ops (=HR) team is more on the management side instead of defending the employees rights and interests.

    You are drowning the company down and many people leave because of the bad management.
    Be more empathic and trust your people. You should surround yourself with different profiles and management styles, instead of looking for and rewarding those that are and think exactly like you.
    Stop punishing others for your own mistakes and failures.

    Pros

    Plenty of talented people, great attitude and generally you develop great friendship with your peers. Work life balance is also pretty good. Offices are nice, perks are good.

    Kontras

    Where do I even start? After being bought by the Japanese Lifull group, Mauricio was appointed as CEO. He has managed to take a thriving culture where people were excited to come to work every day and turn it to the biggest cultural disaster I've ever seen.

    He only holds his position because he's set up a team of puppets on the top management level to whom he pays a huge salary and they move his lousy company vision which is basically to do nothing at all and just maintain the business at a constant level with no innovation and progression at all.

    So many opportunities have gone by for Trovit but the lack of drive and the CEOs ambition to just earn an astronomical salary while not doing anything at all to drive the business forward has set the company up for failure and disappearing within the next couple of years. Mark my words. Seeing a once thriving company get so sidetracked is a tragedy.
