    They truly care about their people and want to create an exceptional working environment. The goals are attainable, strong opportunities for career growth, focus on team effort and solutions. Very open to feedback. Loyal to long time employees. Amazing CEO and Human resource team, consistently go above and beyond.

    Still working thru some organizational challenges, sometimes slow to respond to requests. Fast changing environment requires strong flexibility. Continuing to develop operational structure and clear guidelines.

    Kontras

    Not open to change
    - This is not a company where the best idea wins because EVERYTHING is decided by HQ in Milan
    - If you have a growth mindset, stay away.
    - Any ideas you have or best practices you have used in other companies will not even be considered
    - No one is allowed to work remotely for any reason

    Does not embrace technology
    - Just rolled out iPhones last year to corporate employees, before that everyone used 10 year old windows phones
    - Just started pushing their e-commerce business and are way behind their competitors in this area
    - Expense reports are still done manually in excel even though everyone is clamoring for Concur
    - Work laptops and software are old and hard to use
    - Employees can't connect to corporate WiFi because it's too weak to handle the traffic
    - Everyone has stacks of papers on their desks because the systems departments use are old and not paperless

    Chaos and disorganization is common
    - The company is still family owned so every department is constantly reacting to the whims of the owners. Projects, events and roll-outs are not properly scheduled because of this, making for a very stressful workplace.
    - Instead of being proactive, everything is very reactionary.

    Unpleasant work environment
    - The corporate office is very cold and uninviting. Concrete, gray and brown paint, glass walls. There is no colors, life or energy present.
    - We were told to take down any personal photos in our space.
    - People are not happy, no one is laughing or having fun.
    - Recently started providing coffee for corporate employees but the pods are always gone and it is poorly managed
    - They take ATTENDANCE every morning, like in elementary school. Even if you communicate your schedule with your department head the general secretaries will come to check to see who's in. This speaks to the culture of distrust that has been created.
    - Instead of treating employees so well that they don't want to leave, they make you sign an extremely unfavorable employment agreement that includes a resignation notice period of 1, 2 or 3 months. If this is violated, there is an enormous financial penalty. There's also a non-compete component that can be added to the notice period if you go to a competitor.

    By next year 50% of the workforce will be millennial's and right now people are leaving Prada in droves. Millennial's will not work for a company like Prada USA unless changes are made.

    My advice is:
    - Be open to change
    - Embrace technology
    - Fight with HQ to stop the chaos they are creating
    - Trust your managers and give them autonomy
    - Treat your people well, word gets around very fast when people are treated poorly

    Pros

    I'm very new to the company. So far so good. Everyone is treating me friendly. CEO will chat to us sometimes.
    HR is offering more training programs to us. I personally attended "public presentation training" and " legal training", which I feel so useful not just at work but in my life. I feel excited and motivated to have more of such development program. especially for beginners like me, I really appreciate the opportunity not just the good benefit.

    Pros

    I feel lucky that the company listens to people, especially talented people. I started my career with Prada 10 years ago. Honestly, I always love the brand and the product as the first day, because of the dynamic work environment, professional and friendly colleagues and training offer. I really learn a lot and grow with the company. I won't be who I am without the opportunities for internal career growth. Even it's such a long time, of course up and down, but I do feel ongoing progress ongoing everyday. I was sent to Italy as rewards for top sales, which is my great honor.

    Continuing encourage the good communication, collaboration, and culture engagement in this changing environment. Working on testing new design and marketing strategy in luxury industry. In general, pro's outweight the con's.

    It's awesome to work for a Fashion House like Prada. Great people and Great product! If you are on top of your business you have total autonomy. People are open to feedback and truly care. With new CEO on board, long term goals are shared and communication has improved.

    Plenty of talented people with passion in the fashion. Very dynamic work environment. Professional and friendly colleagues in my team.
    Our new CEO is inspirational, he just joined us half year, but everyone can see the changes, and so many encouraging activities have been organized, ex. lots of training offer. we all love HIM.
    HR encourages opportunities for individual career growth.
    Of course good benefit.
    You can learn a lot in different roles.
