Ich habe in Vollzeit bei Miu Miu gearbeitet (Über 3 Jahre)

    Pros

    Generous commission
    Good staff sales

    Kontras

    - High staff turnover
    - Horrendous organisation
    - Managers micromanage employees instead of encouraging and inspiring them
    - Managers do not seem to know what they are doing
    - Staff sales are taught to be robots and told to 'sell their body' in order to make sales
    - Awful security - regular thefts and employees are blamed for thefts when they do not have a working CCTV system
    - If anything is stolen, sales associates are blamed and threatened that it will go out of their salary - awful!!!

    Rat an das Management

    - Do not blame sales associate for the mess and disorganisation. Take responsibility for bad management.
    - Instead of micromanaging, work on team spirit and being encouraging.

Ich habe bei Miu Miu gearbeitet (Über 3 Jahre)

    Pros

The company has great and talented people who work extremely hard and are self motivated (they have to be!). If you want to feel like an entrepreneur, this is the brand for you! They allow you to run your business and do not micromanage. The product is beautiful and the discount is fairly good. I learned a lot about how to truly run a business from the ground up and was truly in love with the brand!

    Kontras

The poor team at corporate really wants to support the stores but since everything needs to be approved by headquarters in Milan, it can be extremely tough to get any. You either never hear back or get a no. The hiring process is way too extreme and takes way too long. Trust your managers to make the right decisions when it comes to hiring. Having a sales associate sit through at least 4 skype interviews with corporate is ridiculous. There is not enough product to achieve goals and no advertisements locally to help push the product stores do have. NO MOTIVATION at all from corporate! If you beat your people up when business is already bad, it is just going to get worse. INVEST IN YOUR PEOPLE so you will stop losing the good ones. Motivate, inspire, invest in more trainings, do incentives, encourage your people instead of putting them down! I loved the people but the lack of support uninspiring calls and unmotivating environment made me forget who I was as a manager.

    Rat an das Management

Please please please start inspiring your people and think of ways to motivate them and I promise business will turn around! Invest in them because they are investing in you!

Ich habe in Vollzeit bei Miu Miu gearbeitet (mehr als ein Jahr)

    Pros

Friendly environment and co-workers , everyone works like a family. When it comes to sales, each person takes turn. Great team work

    Kontras

Competitive market. Not everyone visits the store will buy stuffs. Miu Miu certainly is not the it brand at the moment so many times sales need to bring their own customers to the brand.

    Rat an das Management

    Pros

Great co-workers and loyal clients when you build a report. Incredible collection so your constantly surrounded by beautiful things, commission is stable and you get food allowance every month which is part of your pay.

    Kontras

Although, you work hard and sell like a maniac. You get a pat on the back and thats about it. Can be tedious and un motivating environment. Repetetive calling of clients to come to the store to sell them something. Raises are unheard of. A bit competitive but not as bad as some other luxury brands such as Dolce & Gabbana. In Spain benefits are not included.

    Rat an das Management

Appreciate your employees, they are the ones who keep the company up and running.

Ich arbeite in Vollzeit bei Miu Miu (mehr als ein Jahr)

    Pros

Trend-Setting Fashion Forward Design Aesthetic and Excellent Luxury Client Service Business Structure. Strong emphasis per company manuals in top quality client service techniques.

    Kontras

Lack of opportunity for career advancement & the majority of staff are not driven to achieve or maximize productivity due to their lack of interest in luxury selling environment.

    Rat an das Management

Luxury Retail Management Experience Skills or better training program should be encouraged to generate business and overall being better able to show capacity in how to drive productivity to engage the luxury client service sales experience.

Ich arbeite in Vollzeit bei Miu Miu (Über 3 Jahre)

    Pros

Competitive pay scale, beautiful stores, unique product, close connection with corporate office as a result of being a smaller retail company. Miu Miu is special in that you have a close working relationship between stores and with the corporate teams. Work-life balance is fair, considering this is retail. Benefits, holidays, and employee discount is competitive or slightly elevated for the industry. If you have a strong management background, you can flourish with this company.

    Kontras

Poor training and on-boarding experience. Lack of structure means you must be self-reliant and disciplined if you want to be successful here. This is not a company to start your retail career in and no one is going to hold your hand. The company at large is highly focused on operations and leaves very little room for meaningful discussions on driving business, clienteling, product knowledge, etc. Unyielding operational standards will consume most of your time if you do not make other aspects of the business a priority yourself. Very little support in terms of inspiring and motivating yourself and your team.

    Rat an das Management

Invest more in your people. Structure conference calls to include consistent dialogue around topics other than operations. Provide more training tools to support managers with developing your teams. Create an on-boarding process that is consistent across all stores.

Ich arbeite in Vollzeit bei Miu Miu (Weniger als ein Jahr)

    Pros

Good benefits and good pay, hourly and commission. Great team to work with

    Kontras

Standards are a lot but I work in a small store so it's not super hard to upkeep.

Our work week was cut to a 35 hour week instead of 40.

Miu Miu is not particularly popular in my market and we do not have shoes which is always Miu Miu's #1 business. Often times we will have stretches of 4-5 days of zero sales

It took 3 months to get started at this job, FOUR interviews and corporate Prada cancelled so many that I had to follow up every few days to keep the process moving.

    Rat an das Management

Prada may not be doing as well as it once did, but we as a company have some beautiful designs. Mrs. Prada has such an intellectual eye for fashion like no one else, however, Prada and Miu Miu teams are both trying our hardest that we can to make things happen in our stores. The sales associate truly want to make money and many managers seem to be excellent. But when all of the sales associates are trying so hard to get their goals and make the company proud it is very disheartening to see my manager come and go as much as they please, taking vacations monthly when our small team can't even be allowed to take small trips because our manager barely ever works weekends and goes on trips consistently
