    Pros

    Good large place to work. Pretty organised and pay was ok. Regional Managers do support. Liked how they invested time with us guards.

    Sometimes long shifts, like 10 hours. Standing.

    Untrained senior managers, any of the good stuff, goes straight out of the window, when they realise that they might have to participate, bad work/life balance, have to work in my own time frequently

    Pros

    25 days Holiday, New Vehicles and that is pretty much it.

    Kontras

    No real Training or upskilling for Engineers, Supervisors or Managers.

    Pointless Yearly reviews a tick box exercise.

    No pay rise if you are underpaid and worth keeping due to red tape, you have to leave and then an agency gets you’re pay-rise???

    All decisions made from the top down, pointless layers just frustrate everyone and slow everything down or does not happen.

    Un-trained work planners, just employed if they can breathe and placed in charge of 20 frustrated engineers and expected to be efficient.

    Small reduced size offices for cost saving , that are not fit for purpose and isolate the many, while those at the top lavish at the very expensive Shard, does not look good.

     Mass cull of good local, flexible, good value, easy to manage suppliers replaced by rebated faceless national suppliers who just put the prices up when they know the competiton has gone.

    Staff no longer care and just turn up or leave, leaders at the top don’t listen and know it all. The company has no moral values that mean anything.

    Soundbites and fluff are meaningless if you dont see things through. Youre staff are youre only asset, you need to start looking after it.

    Pros

    - Almost guaranteed promotion if you're there long enough (turnover is very high)
    - The people who worked at the Milton Keynes office are generally nice people to work with.

    Kontras

    - Very old fashioned and outdated work environment/culture
    - Very gossipy environment, a lot of unnecessary/irrelevant arguements
    - Extremely high turnover (highest I've personally seen)
    - Office environment is almost prison like e.g. Not allowed to decorate your desk, can't have anything other than a plain white mug, cant spend too much time away from your desk or you'll be reported
    - Interview/hiring process based more on how well you get along with the manager than actual relevant experience
    - There aren't any office/after office events that make work more enjoyable or any opportunties to socialise outside the office
    - Good work is rarely rewarded, but mistakes will be made clear

    If you want a team that will succeed and perform well, it may be more effective to promote individuals who can actually lead/manage, rather than the person who will do the dirty work for you with no questions asked.

    Having an environment where staff are treated like children and constantly being watched will almost always result in an ineffective workforce. Some more social events may result in a happier workforce (quiz night, half day with drinks, summer party)

    If you want your company to have better reviews and a better perception you may want to treat your staff with more respect and hire managers who are capable of understanding how to LEAD and not just manage. There is a massive difference. Management seems to shy away from responsibility and instead pass on the blame.

    Some of the people were friendly and great cafe across the road!

    Being told to go extra mile at work, with no extra pay and added pressure,, and after all that barely get a thankyou. I got told by one manager, the only way to progress was to "brown nose" I have more dignity than that, shame others didn't.

    I suffer with depression but kept getting added pressure for no reason

    The higher management needs to look at itself more better, treat employees better. They cleared off early at Christmas, longer lunches and we had sod all!

    Useless HR who get nothing right and poor wage slip system - if you do get one eventually!

    The cleaner aspect of the job needs to be looked at fully. More pay bank holidays etc, extra pay for overtime and a insentive or two for the job
