    Pros

    None, none and none, management think they are a hierarchy of untouchables within the hospital walls, NHS should get rid of this shambles of a company

    Kontras

    Everything, too many chiefs and not enough Indians, seriously don't work for these numpties, treat staff like dirt and do very little work hidden in their offices

    No-one listens to suggestions about how to streamline the business
    Cleaners go unpaid for several weeks due to abysmal management
    99% of staff, while they may have some qualifications, they are all cleaners with NO other experience in any industry whatsoever
    Management from the bottom to the top are useless and do not care about any member of staff, especially when you stick up for your cleaners who haven't been paid
    Even those with letters after their names become Regional Managers, Directors, etc. These cleaning qualifications are for cleaners.
    Effective management comes from employing effective managers, not people who can clean. If that is the case, leave them as good cleaners, since management requires an entirely different skillset and a good working brain.
    If you want to progress as a cleaner and into management, it's really not difficult.
    CRBs, Working Rights (migrants), etc never checked
    Most personal cleaner documentation, i.e. passports, driving licences, etc kept stashed away in company cars or management's private homes. Security is a dirty word at ISS.

    Stop employing from within. Cleaners never make good managers without prior expertise. Cleaning can be done by anyone with training, effective management stems from a varied skillset. Scrubbing toilets is not one of them. Managers do not need to clean, they need to manage so knowing the industry should be second to effectively speaking to clients without sounding like you just got off the local bus from the Job Centre, and dealing with holidays, rotas, sickness, cover, etc. I could name several on the banks and Co-op contracts that haven't a clue but the ideology of "industry knowledge makes effective management" does not and will never work. It makes effective cleaners, and that's where they should stay. Employ managers, not cleaners.

    Having a good future in my working life and in my home life being a disabled man they saw the good in me and gave me a chance 9 years ago to prove that being disabled dosent mean your unemployable
