Thanks for taking the time to post a review for Quietly. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed working with the Qrew, were given the opportunity to work on interesting projects/clients and liked Quietly HQ in Gastown! We love it too. Your constructive feedback is greatly appreciated. Let’s address each point. No work life balance, tight deadlines - While we are a services business and the nature of that comes with ebbs and flows, resource planning and transparency have been something that is a top priority at Quietly. We continue to improve our approach to resourcing (including processes, systems, etc) and have achieved great results. We have also hired a Head of People & Places to ensure we have a pipeline of contract and full-time talent ready for projects as we face increased demand for our software and services. Management does little to support employees - We would genuinely like to understand the specifics around this and how it impacted you. We care deeply about our employees and invest significant time in ensuring they are supported and fulfilled in their contributions. Every six months, we have formal performance and goals touchpoints coupled with regular 1:1 meetings with a people manager. In the coming months, we are also introducing a variety of new processes, including bi-weekly pulse checks and organization-wide transparency on company and department goals. Team member support and learning and development were top of mind when developing this. Not enough resources - See above under “No work life balance.” No room for growth - As with other growth stage companies, several individuals have successfully started in one role and been promoted/transitioned into other roles/teams. An important part of this, is to share career goals/aspirations with your manager and together, build a plan with timelines to get you there. This is ingrained in our team member journey mentioned above. That said, certain roles at Quietly are not for everyone and we completely appreciate that. Pay is below market rate - We continue to assess and look at a variety of factors when it comes to total rewards and our overall compensation package. We also look rigorously at external data points to ensure we are indeed competitive. As Quietly grows, we will continue to look at ways to improve our offering and remain competitive in this market. For example, we cover 100% of employee benefits for full-time employees.

    Pros

Quietly is an awesome place to work. The work environment is laid-back but effective. The company culture is especially great. There are no office politics and team members collaborate with each other in a cooperative environment. The Quietly Qrew works like a family, and fosters a high-trust environment. There are often team outings and events; you will never be bored at Quietly. The people are fantastic and the leadership is accessible. Each team member is valued, no matter what their job title is.

    Kontras

Long-term goals sometimes blurry, but leadership is working to address this
