    Learning how NOT to lead


    1. Picking favourites – they hire and promote the wrong people. They only recommend employees in their "inner circle" for assignments or growth opportunities. They surround themselves with sycophants or "yes" employees.

    2. Taking the credit for employees' work or successes. . Self-promotion is their top priority in this organisation and this ethos is driven from the top.

    3. Ignoring feedback – They do not listen and take negative feedback personally and treat those poorly who give such. So onlooking employees learn not to say anything unless its supporting senior management in fear of being transferred out of the business.

    4. Not standing up for employees - Throwing employees under the bus is synonymous with this company. If someone makes a mistake they turn into judge, jury and executioner. They are quick to point fingers here. BLAME culture is accepted and rewarded in this org and is driven from the top.

    5. Overworking employees. They have unrealistic expectations about what is possible from their employees and consultants. Their main focus is on the bottom line . They have little or no concern for their employees or consultants well-being and hesitate to authorize personal days, or they question the need for sick days.

    6. Purposely overlooking and not recognizing employees' contributions. The CEO’s role should be to facilitate a good working environment for his/her employees. This is not the case.

    Bad bosses create toxic work environments and unfortunately I saw many of my colleagues drained emotionally, mentally and physically as a result, with little or no or concern given by the company

    Weak leadership from the CEO has created this toxic, work culture and continues to be an issue here.

    Rat an das Management

    STOP treating your consultants as the means to an end, purely for your own financial gain. Respect is the glue that holds teams and organizations together so start treating them with courtesy and kindness and this also translates to your employees.

    As an organisation you should have the appropriate procedures in place where all forms of discrimination, bullying, and gossiping are rejected.

    I would also suggest they hire a professional HR team to ensure these policies and measures are firmly in place as well as implementing Diversity and Inclusion training across the organisation which also includes their executive team.
